미국 대학교 편입
미국은 편입제도가 매우 발달한 나라입니다.
미국의 명문대학들은 학생의 이전 대학의 학업을 인정해 주기 때문에 미국대학에서 인정해 준 학점을 제외하고 나머지 학점을 듣게 되면 졸업장을 받을 수 있습니다.
1) Direct transfer
- 미국의 대부분의 4년제 대학으로 편입 지원이 가능하며 이전 대학의 학점과 영어점수, 선수과목 취득등의 조건에 따라 미국 명문대의 편입을 도전해 볼 수 있습니다.
- 지원 자격 : GPA 3.0/4.0 이상, TOEFL80점 이상
2) Pathway 과정을 통한 편입
- 4년제 대학의 경우 Direct transfer도 있지만, 대학에 따라 영어실력을 좀 더 쌓고자 하거나 미국 대학에 빠른 적응, 성공적인 진학을 위한 국제학생을 위한 프로그램으로 입학한 후 편입할 수 있습니다.
- 지원 자격 : GPA 2.5/4.0 이상, TOEFL60점 이상
3) UTP (University Transfer Program)를 통한 편입
- 4년제 일부 대학에서 국제학생들의 편입을 위해 만들어진 과정으로 학업 시작부터 입학한 학생에게 적합한 코스를 들을 수 있으며 영어 실력도 향상시킬 수 있도록 서포트를 합니다.
- 지원 자격 : GPA 2.5/4.0 이상, TOEFL60점 이상

영국 대학교 편입
영국의 경우 국제학생들도 편입은 가능할 수 있습니다. 하지만, 영국대학에 편입생을 위한 정원이 있는지 그리고 국제학생의 학력을 인정해 주어 영국 대학에서 2학년으로 편입을 받아줄지에 대한 정보나 규정은 따로 공식적으로 제공하지 않는 편이라서, 이러한 경우 대학에 직접 문의를 해서 지원할 자리가 있는지등을 체크해서 UCAS로 지원을 하게 됩니다.
그래서 영국대학으로 편입을 하고자 하는 경우, 이 경우보다는 International Year One 과정(IYO 편입 과정)을 이용하시는 것이 좋습니다.
IYO 과정은 9개월간 영국대학에서 학업을 할 준비를 먼저 하고, 그 다음에 영국 대학교 2학년으로 진학할 수 있는 프로그램으로 영국의 많은 대학들이 이 과정을 제공하고 있습니다.
