• Language for Study 3
  Develop your skills by learning to read, listen to and understand complex arguments in English, and to give evidence of your research in speech and writing.
• Skills for Study 1
  Enhance your presentation, note-taking and essay-writing skills, and discover different academic learning styles, how to research, and how to avoid plagiarism (using other sources in your work without correctly referencing them).
• Skills for Study 2
  Improve your analytical skills by examining written and spoken information, reporting your views with evidence and learning how to apply clear judgement and reasoning.
• Skills for Study 3
  Build on your existing skills by learning how to research and analyse information to a high standard, and how best to structure your arguments orally and in writing.

• Two terms: at least 11 years of education* and IELTS 5.5 (minimum 4.5 in all skills)
• Three terms — Academic Skills: at least 11 years of education* and IELTS 5.5 (minimum 4.5 in all skills)
• Three terms — Language: at least 11 years of education* and IELTS 5.0 (minimum 4.0 in all skills)
